Happy New Year...
With the New Year comes resolutions to change any changeable risk factors for Coronary Artery Disease (or blockages of the arteries going to the heart). This means QUIT SMOKING, maintain an active lifestyle, and control ones weight and cholesterol.
Other risk factors for heart disease include: family history of a father having heart disease younger than age 60 or a mother having heart disease younger than age 70, Diabetes, High Blood Pressure and low HDL cholesterol.
